“Extraordinary adventures of Taras Shevchenko on the shore of the Aral Sea”
13.3.2018
On March 12, 2018, a public lecture of the Head of the Ukrainian History Department O.V. Naboka “Extraordinary Adventures of Taras Shevchenko on the Shore of the Aral Sea” was held at the Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences.
The event was attended by students and teachers of the Institute. The aim of the event was to cover one of the most interesting periods in the life of the famous poet: his participation as an artist in the scientific expedition of O.I. Butakov, during which the Aral Sea was investigated (1848 – 1849).
Oleksandr Naboka noted that the Aral adventures of Shevchenko: his passage through the Kara Kum, hunting for an ogre-tiger, researching the customs of local peoples – present a unique plot for an artistic novel, similar in stylistics to the works of Jules Verne, Mein Reed and Louis Bussenard.
Students and teachers of our institute are the most active in various fields.
It is fashionable to study with us!
