Curatorial hour

A general faculty curatorial hour was held in honor of Taras Shevchenko’s birthday at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

Within the Shevchenko days, students and teachers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​held a general curatorial hour dedicated to the important date in the history and culture of our country – the Birthday of the Ukrainian Kobzar – Taras Shevchenko.

Students watched a film-play “I Povie Vogon’ Novyi” (A New Fire Will Blow). All those present with pleasure and delight looked at the screen, where they read poems of the legendary poet, sang songs and danced. One of the performers of poems was the Dean of the Faculty Ivan Karpenko. The students noted that they looked at the verses and figure of an outstanding poet in a new way.

After watching the students and curators had time to discuss what they saw and share their impressions. After the event, students expressed a desire to hold a competition for the best performance of Shevchenko’s poetic works in different languages.
