Students and teachers of the IPP honored the memory of Taras Shevchenko in the literary and artistic drawing room “We will keep in the soul Shevchenko’s words of kindness and love as the parental word”.
Quite a lot was written and said about Shevchenko as a great prophet and spiritual leader of the nation. But over time, the figure of the Kobzar becomes more important in the minds of Ukrainians. In the modern world, his ideas and wills sounded especially clearly.
The event was opened by Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor, Deputy Director for Social and Humanitarian Work of the IPP Vira Pushko, who noted that in the modern world, a broad scientific approach to the reassessment of ethnonational features, understanding the importance of studying Ukrainian spiritual heritage, state traditions, recorded in the work of Taras Shevchenko, should be encouraged. In order to celebrate the two hundred and fourth anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birth and support activities to study and popularize his heritage, Vira Pushko invited students of the ER IPP to watch the film and take an active part in its discussion.
In addition, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs O.N. Tsalapova noted that every year in March, all conscious Ukrainians honors its Genius, which became a symbol of Ukraine.
The event was also attended by teachers of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education I.A. Grechishkina, M.A. Epihina, S.N. Bezborodyh; the Department of Philological Disciplines N.V. Pravova, O.N. Tsalapova, V.F. Pushko and others.
