Olympiad at the Faculty of Foreign Languages

At the Faculty of Foreign Languages the results of the Olympiads have been summed up.

The first round of Olympiads in English, German and Spanish was held recently at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Romance and Germanic Philology Department, which was attended by I-IV year students of specialties “Language and Literature (English)”, “Language and Literature (German, English )”, “Language and Literature (French, English)”, “Language and Literature (Spanish)”. The Olympiad consisted of two parts: a theoretical part, covering the theoretical material of students of each course separately, and practical, where students had to demonstrate their skills in using lexical items, as well as the ability to understand the content of small texts by listening. During the Olympiad students showed a high level of knowledge not only in theory, but also the ability to use the acquired knowledge in practice.

According to the results of the Olympiad in English, the winners are:

• I^st place – Sidelnikova Maria (II year student of specialty “Secondary Education. Language and Literature (German, English)”);
• ІІ^nd place – Katsevalova Kateryna (І year student of specialty “Secondary Education. Language and Literature (English)”);
• ІІІ^rd place – Mazhula Olexandr (II year student of specialty “Secondary Education. Language and Literature (English)”).

According to the results of the Olympiad in German, the winners are:

• I^st place – Sidelnikova Maria (II year student of specialty “Secondary Education. Language and Literature (German, English)”);
• ІІ^nd place – Babaiants Karina (IV year student of specialty “Philology. German and English Language and Literature”);
• ІІІ^rd place – Kucherova Mariia (I year student of specialty “Secondary Education. Language and Literature (German, English)”).

According to the results of the Olympiad in Spanish, the winners are:

• I^st place – Klymchuk Olha (III year student of specialty “Philology. Spanish and English Language and Literature”);
• ІІ^nd place – Kaliberda Hanna (I year student of specialty “Secondary Education. Language and Literature (Spanish, English)”);
• ІІІ^rd place – Matviienko Liia (II year student of specialty “Secondary Education. Language and Literature (Spanish, English)”).
