The first stage of the Olympiad

On March 5, the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Social Pedagogy took place at the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.

The head and organizer of the Olympiad was Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy Natalia Krasnova.

The Olympiad was attended by the students of first-fourth year of study majoring in “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology”, “Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology” and “Social Pedagogy. Social Rehabilitation Activities in Penitentiary Institutions. “

The event was opened by the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Olena Karaman, who congratulated the participants of the Olympiad on the solemn event in the life of the University and noted that the students majoring in “Social Pedagogy” for many years took prizes in the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad, glorifying the University and the Department of Social Pedagogy. Despite the temporary evacuation of the University, the Department of Social Pedagogy remains the leader of social and pedagogical education and science in Ukraine, because it has a powerful scientific school under the guidance of the Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor S.Ya. Kharchenko.

Also Olena Karaman presented the jury: chairman – head of the Department of Social Pedagogy, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor S. Ya. Kharchenko; members – candidates of pedagogical sciences, associate professors N.P. Krasnova, N.L. Otroshchenko, O.I. Maltseva, Ya.I. Yurkiv.  

The tasks of the Olympiad were aimed at solving both theoretical and practical problems of social pedagogy. The Olympics included two rounds:

• The І round was practical “The world of my profession”;
• The II round was theoretical, it aimed at solving urgent problems of social pedagogy and revealing the level of students’ training in technology of social and pedagogical activity.

The results of the Olympiad will be announced on March 7, 2018.

The winners of the Olympiad will take part in the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Social Pedagogy to be held at the H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University from April 12 to 14, 2018.
