Teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University were awarded with honorary titles.

The pride of the higher educational institution is the scientific elite – teachers, who by their hard work increase the pedagogical achievements of the state, guided by the best world and domestic traditions, the latest trends in the development of the sphere of educational services.

Teachers of our University are the support and pride of the Ukrainian Luhansk region. The international educational community recognizes their tireless activity, and their achievements glorify the name of the native Alma Mater.

On the celebration of the 97th anniversary of the foundation of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, the Academic Council of the University decided to award honorary titles and awards to teachers for their conscientious work and significant contribution to the development of national education.

The title of “Honorary Professor of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” is a symbol of recognition of the authority of scientists and gratitude for the significant contribution to the development of the University and Ukraine.

This year the honorary title was conferred to the Associate Professor of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology S.V. Petrenko; Associate Professor of the Pedagogy Department, chairman of the Commission for Social and Humanitarian Work of the University I.S. Koteneva; Professor of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography L.M. Sbitneva. Each of them is an example of persistence and tireless labor, thanks to which they achieved significant successes and scientific achievements.

Lyudmyla Mykolaivna Sbitneva went the path from the music educator to the professor and the recognized scientist. In 1968, she began her career at the Children’s Music School in the city of Antracyt. In 1992, after graduating from Donetsk State Conservatoire named after Prokofiev, Lyudmyla Sbitneva linked her life with Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. Over the years of work, the scientist especially remembered the creative teams of the Institute and the unique moments of the production of operas and the preparation of students for performances. “Be demanding of yourself and you will be able to achieve success,” – Lyudmila Mykolaivna says.

Serhii Vitaliyovych Petrenko is a graduate of Voroshilovgrad Taras Shevchenko State Pedagogical Institute. He devoted his life to his native Alma Mater and today became the Honorary Professor. He has been glorifying the name of our University with his achievements for 33 years. According to the scientist, the key to his success is a good team and colleagues, who worked with them for many years. During this time, the most memorable practices with students and the amazing scenery of the city of Kreminna. The Honorary Professor wished scientists wished to work hard and experiment.

A real expert in the field of education is Iryna Sergiivna Koteneva – the Associate Professor of the Pedagogy Department, chairman of the Commission for Social and Humanitarian Work. Having received an education in Voroshilovgrad Taras Shevchenko State Pedagogical Institute, she began her scientific path, working tirelessly to form a generation of specialists capable of solving actual pedagogical problems. Iryna Sergiivna is grateful to her mentors – Academician G.P. Shevchenko and the dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​I.M. Karpenko. An example in the professional activity for Iryna Koteneva is the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Oleksandr Babichev. On the University Day, the Honorary Professor wished all young scientists scientific inspiration and diligence.

For conscientious work, high professionalism, high-quality training of specialists, significant personal contribution to the development of national education, significant achievements in the organization of educational activities and on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the foundation of the University “Honorary Diploma of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” was awarded to the head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology S.O. Shekhavtsova and the responsible secretary of the Admission Committee Ya.I. Yurkiv.
