Results of the Olympiad in Ukrainian language
28.2.2018
The Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications summed up the results of the Olympiad in Ukrainian language.
According to Lina Kostenko, nations do not die from a heart attack – first they lose their speech. And this is really so, because language is the best asset of mankind and its greatest wealth. Today, every Ukrainian knows this, perhaps. From time immemorial, the identification of ethnicity occurred precisely through language. Maksym Rylsky called: “Cherish the language as a branch of the vine. Weed and water it continuously.” In our difficult times these words of the poet have not lost their relevance.
With the aim of forming a respectful attitude to the language among students and using it competently, the annual Olympiad in Ukrainian language is held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
Recently, the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications hosted the first round of the University Olympiad in Ukrainian language and methods of teaching it. The Olympiad was attended by students of II – IV years of education. Assignments of the integrative nature, providing for the verification of the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities, covered the material that the students mastered in their junior courses.
According to the results of the Olympiad, the winners were:
- Anastasia Yanovych, IV – UA (the scientific adviser is M.V. Kravchenko),
- Anastasia Gorban, II – UA (the scientific adviser is O.E. Kleshchova),
- Yulia Dybka, II – UA (the scientific adviser is O.E. Kleshchova).
Congratulations to the winners!
We thank all participants of the Olympiad for the love of language!
We wish you creative inspiration and further victories. We believe that your native Ukrainian language will live thanks to you, connoisseurs of the words, patriots of your Motherland, future specialists who proudly say: “I am proud that I am Ukrainian!”.
