Photojournalism training

Students of LTSNU participated in a photojournalism training, which took place in the city of Starobilsk.

Students majoring in 061 “Journalism” of the educational program “Publishing and Editing” of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in the training on photojournalism, which was held in the city of Starobilsk on February 22 – 23, 2018. The leader was the famous local photographer Oleksii Mykhailov. Not only journalists took part in the training, but also editors, publishers of Novopskov, Rubizhne, Svatove, Milove, Troitske.

During the training, the following questions were considered: “How to use a mirror camera correctly?”; “What to do with poor-quality photos?”; “Editing photos and preparing them for printing using various computer programs”; “Features of the journalist’s work.”

The meeting was attended not only by beginners, but also by experienced journalists who considered a variety of issues, giving various useful advice to the younger generation.

The students of our University use this knowledge and experience when preparing photo reports in print and online media that will be needed in the future creative profession of a journalist.
