Chinese New Year

Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages,​who study Chinese, celebrated Chinese New Year.

At the festivities dedicated to the celebration of Chinese New Year, organized by the cultural and linguistic center of China and the Confucius Institute of the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, talented and active students showed themselves in various artistic and aesthetic forms.

The most active participants of the festival were students Olena Yurchenko, Arina Konovalova, Nasiba Nurlayeva, Valeria Borovska and others. They presented traditional Chinese clothes to spectators, and the euphony and beauty of the Chinese language could be conveyed in their wonderful songs, which they performed under the accompaniment of traditional Chinese musical instruments.

All present liked the energetic Chinese dragon dance and the calm and restrained dance of bamboo. After the concert, a master class on knotting and calligraphy was held, in which everyone could take part.

At the end of the holiday, students were invited to the traditional Chinese tea ceremony, where everyone tried to learn the culture of drinking tea and feel its real taste.
