Students of the Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism passed practical training at the Luhansk customs.

Future specialists of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism of the Department of Commodity Research, Commercial Business and Products Expertise of the educational program “Commodity research and examination in customs” (the educational degree “Master”) this year had the opportunity to pass industrial practice at the Luhansk Customs of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. The head of the production practice of students is the lecturer of the Department Mykhailo Petrovych Lyban.

The program of practice is quite rich. Students majoring in “Entrepreneurship, trade and exchange activities” of the educational program “Commodity research and examination in customs” got acquainted with the structure of the Luhansk customs, functions of structural divisions, taught the current legislative and regulatory framework governing legal relations between customs authorities, expert organizations and subjects of foreign trade activities and modern methods of customs control of individual goods. They got an opportunity to join the examination goods, vehicles and other objects crossing the customs border of Ukraine; Calculate the amount of customs payments as part of the implementation of specific export-import transactions; participated in the examination to determine the qualitative, quantitative and cost characteristics of domestic products and products of foreign production and other areas of customs.

According to the students, during the practice at customs they had a good experience. The acquisition of such an experience is invaluable for future commodity experts.

The production practice at customs is interesting, but requires patience and high organization. In addition, the process of the device itself is not an easy practice, since the customs is a closed institution and only people with special education are allowed to practice.

The future experts are satisfied with the passage of practice, because such experience expands opportunities for successful employment.
