Employees of the University took part in the training “Media School for Regional Journalists”.
The society needs high-quality journalism, practical experience requires regular improvement by accumulating theoretical knowledge. Recently, the Academy of the Ukrainian Press, with the assistance of the “U-LEAD with Europe” program, provided this opportunity to the employees of our Press Center Maryna Chumakova and Oleg Chernysh during the training “Media School for Regional Journalists”. In the city of Severodonetsk for three days, the participants of the event had the opportunity to raise the level of knowledge on the coverage of reforms, and to get help and advice on creating professional materials to be published in the media.
Creating a quality product is impossible without the help of professionals. Trainers of the project Liliya Atnazheva and Andrii Jurichko became not just mentors for participants, but also good advisers, who can consult even after the event.
“A journalist should be practical. Now the scientific degree of a person means much less than his real skills for the labor market. During the lectures, we study theories, it is impossible to learn practice when sitting in the classroom. It is very good that now it is possible to attend such trainings,” – Oleg Chernysh said.
The targeted continuous improvement of professional skills and journalistic skills is the key to quality written materials.
