Contest of readers
15.2.2018
The Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College hosted a readers’ contest dedicated to Valentine’s Day.
Talking about love is a real art. Famous masters of the poetic word for many centuries embodied their feelings in works that became world masterpieces. In our time, their heritage inspires young people, fascinating with amazing literary lines. Recently students of the Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College recited poems in order to express their feelings in an original way.
The contest of readers this year was held for the first time in the institution. According to the Director of the separate subdivision E.S. Kovpak, the idea of the event arose in the student government. Young people responsibly reacted to a significant event, independently preparing poems that best reflected their feelings.
The event was attended by representatives of all the academic groups of the College. Without restraining the excitement, students read poems, which were evaluated by the competent jury. It included the Director of the Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College E.S. Kovpak, Deputy Director for Training and Production Work E.N. Krutko and Deputy Director for Educational Work N.V. Voitenko.
Young people recited not only poems of famous poets, but also read their own works. So, Anastasia Bespala impressed those present with the author’s composition about true love. The students read the works not only in Ukrainian, but also in Russian and English.
The participants did not restrain emotions, tried to impress the jury with oratorical skills and magnificent acting, embodying the images described in the verses.
After all the speeches, the jury determined the best ones. All students received honorable prizes, and the winners were awarded with diplomas.
