Ukrainian Student of Polish University

The Ukrainian student became the President of Student Self-Government at University College of Social Sciences.

He was chosen according to the voting results, the majority of students cast their votes for the Ukrainian. Vadyk Rakytianskyi came to Poland in the end of August. “Because of the difficult situation in our country I had to think about the second educational establishment. I was a participant of the program “Double Diploma” according to which LNU students study online at Polish university and come for the session twice a year. I considered Polish university as a chance to continue education on a full-time basis” – told Vadym.

UCSS enrolled the student, helped him to make out a temporary residence permit, arranged for Polish classes and settled in a hostel. Since last October Vadym is a true Polish student and since recently he is the President of Student Self-Government.

“I was very surprised with this opportunity and trust to the foreign student. As Self-Government we control certain processes at the university and look for new possibilities for our students”, – explained Rakytianskyi.

Besides, according to Vadym, he hasn’t dropped out of the native university and keeps studying at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. But he admits that now everything has turned all the way around: previously he has studied remotely at Polish university and now – at the Ukrainian one. He is grateful to LNU for such possibility.
