Advertising and career guidance work

On February 8, the delegation of LTSNU visited the cities of Kostyantynivka and Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region to carry out advertising and career guidance work in preschool, general education institutions and technical schools.

The delegation included the secretary of the admission committee Y. Yurkiv, the deputy director of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology V. Pushko and the deputy director of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism M. Chumak.

During the visit, meetings were held with pedagogical workers and graduates of schools in Kostyantynivka; information on the university educational offer, its achievements and directions of activity; answers are given to all questions about the conditions of admission. In addition, the teachers told about the training, the organization of scientific activities, the peculiarities of living in hostels and leisure of students at our University. Students were invited to open days and received promotional materials.

The meetings turned out to be both interesting and useful. Many students expressed a desire to enter the University in various specialties, and pedagogical workers – to upgrade their qualifications or to receive an education in another specialty.

A great resonance in the pedagogical community of Kramatorsk was caused by the methodical seminar of teachers of preschool institutions, which took place on the basis of the kindergarten “Golden Fish” (the director is I. I. Goreta). During the event, Vira Pushko revealed the actual issues of the development of preschool education in Ukraine. The result of the visit was the signing of an agreement on joint activities of the Education Department of Kramatorsk, the methodical cabinet and the University on the implementation of training and professional development of teaching staff, general scientific, methodological and information work.

Mykhailo Chumak met with students of the Kramatorsk Technological College and informed the students about the directions of training and the specialties that are being taught at the Institute.

The next meeting with pedagogical collectives of educational institutions is planned on the basis of the University in February 2018.
