The first graduation of military students

On January 26-27, military students passed the state examination and defended their master’s theses in the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.

21 master’s students majoring in “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology” and 3 master students majoring in “Psychology” showed a high level of professional training: in defending master’s theses demonstrated methodological literacy, scientific novelty and practical significance of the results of the work; predicted ways to use research results in professional work and public practice.

With the advent of a new category of students, the subject of master’s works at the departments was enriched. Among the new topics – “Forming the socio-psychological readiness of servicemen to participate in the antiterrorist operation”, “Using self-help groups in social work with internally displaced persons in the area of ​​the antiterrorist operation”, “Development of the system of social services in the conditions of armed conflict in Ukraine”, ” Socio-pedagogical and psychological assistance to families with children in the period of military conflict on the example of charitable organizations”, etc.

This is the first release of military students, who are recognized by law as participants in military operations and who have defended and continue to defend Ukrainian independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. All of them are representatives of Western Ukraine: Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnitsky, and Zhitomir.

Among the master’s students, there are men who have passed the hottest points of military operations – Luhansk and Donetsk airports, Ilovaysk, Lutugino, etc. And today they represent a highly professional Ukrainian army, almost the only pride of the Ukrainian nation.

The strong relations between the university and the military men, who are now graduating from the university, were established in 2014, when the University was evacuated to the city of Starobilsk. As soon as we met with them, we firmly decided: it is our civic duty to make sure that each serviceman’s feat was duly appreciated by the state and society. That each of the servicemen felt boundless gratitude for the contribution made in defending the independence and integrity of Ukraine, the restoration and further development of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. And they kept their word.

After the announcement of the results of the defense, the military students expressed great gratitude to the teachers of the Institute for the professional management of scientific research; budget allocated for them in 2016; for a tolerant attitude and an individual approach. They expressed admiration for the courage, perseverance and indestructibility of the team of teachers and students of the University. They assured that they would do everything to bring victory closer.

Dear graduates! We wish you good health, psychological stability in the performance of the mission entrusted to you, reliable environment, family warmth, accomplishment of all dreams and desires. And a brilliant VICTORY to all of us!
