Memorial for Vyacheslav Chornovil

A memorial for Vyacheslav Chornovil was held at the College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

December 24, 2017 Vyacheslav Chornovil would have turned 80 years old.

The purpose of the event is to convey to the gathered the truth about the great public figure, journalist, patriot of Ukraine – Vyacheslav Maksymovych Chornovil. The initiators and organizers of the event were students of the College, members of the student scientific society, under the guidance of the teacher of the Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences Olga Bublik.

The memorial began with an electronic presentation, which was prepared by students of PO3 (9) group Hanna Starikova and Tetiana Aliferenko. The students of the College told about the life and work of the outstanding Ukrainian who dreamed of a beautiful Ukraine and a worthy future for its citizens.

The audience was also offered the opportunity to watch a feature film, which in turn also gave an opportunity to learn about the phenomenon of Chornovil and form one’s own opinion about him. The participants of the event constantly engaged in a lively dialogue.

The talented students, well-written script and inspirationally positive atmosphere of the memorial, created by its immediate participants and all present, vividly testified that Ukraine begins with each of us, with our ability to respect the past and readiness to create our own future.
