Youth get-together

“Youth get-together” took place at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

Like the prototype of antiquity, contemporary youth meetings are designed to combine recreation and entertainment, acquaintance and divination. The event was initiated by the teachers of the Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences Kateryna Kotlenets and Kateryna Ignatenko. Representatives of the initiative group “INVENTORS” supported and helped in organizing.

The holiday began with the quest, where participants had to create a Christmas star. On the eve of this event, it was divided into six parts and hid in certain places. By guessing the riddles, the participants gradually got all the puzzles, and after they got the opportunity to enter the modern room. The gloom added a small room of mysticism. In such an atmosphere, those present had an opportunity to learn about the history of celebrating the feasts. After that the participants made “Dyduh” – a symbol of the harvest, well-being, wealth, and welfare of the genus.

And what kind of meetings are without divination? The mysterious girls’ divination with the help of boots, dumplings, and papers with the names of the grooms are considered magical and foreshadows the future. In addition to the girls at the event, guys were also not far off to find out what the coming year prepares for them.

Ukrainian traditions are alive. They are forever. They are peaceful and sincere. Like the Ukrainian people. And it is very important to protect and develop them.

The youth get-together have become fun and colorful action. Thanks to the organizers, and we hope that such events will be held more often.
