The University Administration Meeting

A regular meeting of the University Administration took place.

On the agenda was considered the implementation of the decisions of the University Administration and the prospects for the development of the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology. The report was made by Hennadii Mohylnyi.

Having heard and discussed the report of the Director of the Educational and Research Institute, the University Administration noted that the directorate of the Institute had taken measures to implement the decision of the University Administration on October 10, 2016. In order to form a contingent of students in the Institute, career guidance work was conducted with the involvement of teachers from all departments of the Institute and employees of the structural subdivision. A timetable for vocational guidance activities of the Institute was developed in order to achieve an effective result. Particular attention was paid to working with military personnel and active cooperation with the educational center “Donbas-Ukraine”.

Since September 2017, the Institute moved to the city of Rubizhne, where the work of the directorate was organized for a short period, students were accommodated in the hostel and training began.

During the last year, an additional electronic network was created at the Institute and an electronic library of educational materials and software was located on the specialized server, which is used by full-time and part-time students. It allowed increasing the quality of the educational process.

Lecturers of the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies are actively engaged in scientific activities, cooperate with many domestic and foreign institutions. Last year all departments of the Institute intensified research work with students. The number of scientific works at the university level has significantly increased. In the University’s repository, the latest publications of the teachers are being gradually published. The publication of the English-language journal “Algebra and Discrete Mathematics”, which is part of the science-based Scopus database, continues.
