The teacher of the Sports Disciplines Department of LTSNU Dmytro Semenenko is an honorary citizen of the city of Popasna.

Congratulations to the teacher of the Sports Disciplines Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, three-time world champion, bronze medalist of the World Games of 2017, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine Dmytro Semenenko on an outstanding event in his life!

According to the decision of the executive committee of Popasna City Council he was awarded with the title “Honorary Citizen of the city of Popasna” for the significant personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian sport, significant achievements in the international arena, the increase of the image of Popasna in Ukraine and the world.

Dmytro Volodymyrovych deserved this title with his successful performances in the national team of Ukraine on the international arena. He entered his name in the glorious history of domestic powerlifting three times in succession becoming the world champion in the main team of the country. Performances of our sportsman, as always, were bright and were accompanied by the establishment of world records.

For all the time of appearances on the international arena, Dmytro rose to the highest step of the pedestal eight times. Hymn of Ukraine sounded eight times in his honor! 445.5 kg in the squat! 1091.5 kg in the sum of triathlon! Such today are world records in the weight category up to 105 kg. And they belong to our athlete, our teacher!

Congratulations to the Luhansk hero on the awarding of a high title! We wish him strength and inspiration to conquer all the desirable sports and life heights!
