The teacher’s concert

Recently in the hall of the Poltava Regional Museum of Local Lore, there was a concert of the teacher of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography, laureate of All-Ukrainian and international competitions Valerii Semenenko.

The concert was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding teacher, performer, public figure, professor of the Donetsk State Conservatory Oleksandr I. Shevchenko.

The event was started by Professor Andrii Ya. Stashevsky, who told the audience about the creativity of Oleksandr Shevchenko, his achievements. Then the musical action began.

The concert featured music by classical composers arranged for bayans, such as I. Pachelbel, D. Scarlatti, S. Rachmaninov, and works by contemporary composers such as V. Semyonov, P. McKönen.

Valerii Semenenko has not changed the tradition for 5 years playing a solo concert on his birthday, and after the performance, he received congratulations from the public. It should also be noted that this was the first concert of Valerii Semenenko no longer as a student, but as a professional performer who independently begins his concert activity.
