“Georudit”

The Geography Department of LTSNU organized and conducted a contest-quiz “Georudit” for senior pupils.

It can be argued that geography performs a unique function, namely synthesizes all the diversity of information about the surrounding world – nature, population, economy. Geographic knowledge is necessary for every person to realize his role and place in life.

In order to popularize geographic education, to identify and develop the creative abilities of pupils, to form a geographic world outlook among the youth, the Geography Department of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has been holding the contest-quiz “Geoerudit” for the third consecutive year. The senior pupils of the Luhansk region take an active part in the contest. This year, the circle of participants will significantly expand thanking to the participation of pupils of the Donetsk region, who also showed interest in “Geoerudit”.

Contestants have the opportunity to demonstrate geographic erudition, the ability to navigate in space, to try themselves in the role of specialists-geographers, an expert geographer, a connoisseur of geographical patterns. For future school leavers the work on quiz questions and tasks will be an additional opportunity to prepare for the external independent testing. In addition, the contest-quiz is a great opportunity to “travel” and get pleasure from it!

Winners of the competition will be awarded with diplomas and prizes. All other competitors will receive certificates of participants.
