Advertising and career-oriented work

The gray and rainy weather does not become an obstacle for teachers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages in advertising and career-oriented work in the central region of Ukraine.
Recently, the Dean I.M. Karpenko, Head of the Department S.A. Shekhavtsova, Associate Professor S.A. Shpetna visited the most remote district center of Poltava, the cities of Kotelva and Akhtyrka, the Sumy region. In Sumy region, our teachers came for the first time and did not regret it. Many schools have a large number of senior pupils here, but the competition for them is tough: when representatives of our Faculty were in general educational institutions, representatives of Kharkiv and Kyiv universities were seen there.
Orientation of entrants to the choice of future professions is largely due to the socio-economic characteristics of a particular region (the presence of working enterprises, the attractiveness of wages, the traditional professional preferences of young people, etc.). For example, since the city of Akhtyrka is the center of the oil refining industry, local residents give priority to professions of the appropriate profile. However, humanitarian (philological) interest is always the stronger, the fewer academic proposals offer local higher education institutions for the professional choice of young people.
Thus, the educational opportunities of the Faculty of Foreign Languages are perceived with great interest. We should continue to increase our presence in the cultural and educational space of the central regions of Ukraine. We have a future here, because we have a good educational potential, multiplied by the humanitarian needs of school youth.
