The Educational and Research Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences held events dedicated to the All-Ukrainian Law Week.

The All-Ukrainian Law Week is aimed at ensuring respect for the freedoms of a man and a citizen and the development of international cooperation in the field of jurisprudence. Such events are important for the self-development of student youth, the formation of its legal culture and awareness.

Thus, on December 13, the Department of Political Science and Jurisprudence prepared a legal literacy course for first-year students of the SHPC and College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. Students of the Institute of History, International Relations and Social and Political Sciences together with Olga I. Bublik (Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor) prepared scientific reports that fully disclose the topic of rights and legal culture. “The week of law is important for each of us, because each of us has rights and knowledge that make our life easier,” – Anton V. Bader, Director of the Institute said

Priority of rights, legal culture, understanding of the fact that responsibility for violation of the law – it was the slogan of the event. Students discussed different topics: starting from a general declaration of human rights, responsibilities of parents and children and rights related to internally displaced persons. “Unfortunately, since 2014 we have such a category of population as IDP. This topic has become acute in modern society. And among the students of our University there are internally displaced persons, they should know about their rights, so we could not get around this topic today”.

Holding such events will unite the efforts and goals of state bodies, private and public institutions towards the establishment of human rights and freedoms, and will ensure the awareness of our citizens in their rights and duties.
