Patriotic catharsis

Teachers and students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​and the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts celebrated the International Volunteer Day.

On December 5, the Ukrainian public celebrates the International Volunteer Day. The teachers and students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​and the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts joined this event. They took part in events dedicated to the volunteer movement, which are held in the Poltava Regional Universal Scientific Library named after I.P. Kotlyarevsky. Students and teachers met with the famous Ukrainian journalist Hanna Popova at the presentation of her book “Якби не війна……”. This book is a collection of journalistic research of the author about ATO soldiers, volunteers, displaced persons, including from the Luhansk region. The book took 2nd place in the nomination “The best prosaic edition” in the contest “The Book of the Year in Poltava 2017”.

Hanna Popova told about the fate of her 39 heroes, whom she met in 2014-2016, and who turned her idea of ​​our people, his original traditions and values. With tears in their eyes, the audience listened to the speeches of parents from Poltava, whose children fought in the ATO and gave their lives for Ukraine.

Two hours of meeting passed very quickly and made a great impact on the numerous gathered, cleared the soul and spiritually enriched the student youth. Everyone felt that we are one people and we have the same destiny.
