Students – the Vanguard of State Changes

From November 24 to 26, the forum “Students – the Vanguard of State Changes” was held in Kyiv for the second time.
The event was aimed at establishing cooperation between bodies of student self-government of higher educational institutions with state authorities, local self-government, public associations on the national-patriotic education of youth and the participation of student youth in state activities.
This is a large-scale student forum, designed to remind students of the importance of their participation in the life of Ukraine and the process of reforming the state. It gathered more than 100 students from all over the country to discuss the participation of students in revolutions and to recall that the student body can make changes.
Iryna Maslovska, the chairman of the student’s directorate of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, became the representative from Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. She had to pass a competitive selection for this participation.
Within three days, students immersed themselves in the past to learn the history of revolutions in Ukraine better and analyze the influence of students on the revolutions that gave impetus to the formation of the patriotic consciousness of Ukrainians; Communicated with participants in the revolutions on Granite, Ukraine without Kuchma, the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity; learned about the peculiarities of advocacy campaigns and the phased implementation of them; discussed other effective mechanisms for establishing a dialogue between representatives of civil society and state power
The All-Ukrainian Forum was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine in conjunction with the Office of Youth Policy and National-Patriotic Education of the Kyiv Regional State Administration in partnership with the NGO “Youth Human Rights Agency”.
Our University was noted as an unbending and consistent executor of the state mission, the center of the formation of a single Ukrainian political nation.
