Луганський національний університет імені Тараса Шевченка

Again on native wheels

Mercedes-Benz 312 b van was returned to Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

In 2014, evacuated to the city of Starobilsk, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University was forced to restore the material and technical base and create comfortable conditions for the education and residence of students and teachers. Today, thanks to the hard work of teachers and staff, the higher educational institution successfully implements educational and research activities. Recently, thanks to the work of law enforcement officers and Interpol, the University’s transport base has been enlarged with a minibus.

This year Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University filed an application to the police about the commission of criminal acts, namely the acquisition of property belonging to the LTSNU. In the course of the investigation, the Svatovo police department of the National Police Main Department in Luhansk region opened criminal proceedings, seized the vehicle and was put on international wanted list.

After a long work in the city of Donetsk in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, the Mercedes-Benz 312 b vehicle was arrested and reported to the University.

On November 25, the minibus was returned to Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. Now actions are carried out to remove from search and arrest from the vehicle.

“This is a significant event for our University. There are not enough vehicles, and therefore a minibus, in which there are more seats and comfortable conditions, is very necessary. Thanks to this, we can make trips to longer distances,” –  the Vice-Rector for Administrative And Economic Work D.Yu. Kovalyov said.

Teachers and students of Luhansk National University express their gratitude to the head of the Svatovo police department of the NPMD in the Lugansk region R.R. Volkov and the head of the investigative department D.A. Yakovenko.
