Exhibition for the Day of Dignity and Freedom
20.11.2017
Annually, according to the presidential decree of November 13, 2014, on November 21 we celebrate the Day of Dignity and Freedom.
The Dignity Revolution of 2013 united the entire Ukrainian people around a high goal – defending independence of Ukraine, protecting democratic values, human and citizen rights and freedoms. Now, according to the presidential decree of November 13, 2014, every year on November 21 we celebrate the Day of Dignity and Freedom.
Today in honor of this date, the College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University together with the Luhansk Regional Museum of Local Lore opened a thematic traveling exhibition dedicated to the historical events of 2013-2014. Here you can find pictures of bloody events, which reflect experiences, mother’s tears, love, and the confusion that bounded Maidan was. They could not help but include those who fought for the honor and freedom of our country.
The Deputy Director of the Luhansk Regional Museum of Local Lore on scientific research work Tetyana Kovalenko addressed with words of gratitude for the significant contribution of teachers to the education of youth. She stressed that we create our own history, and young people are an active engine of this process, so we must remember, like the bright pages from the life of our people, and as dark of the events of 2013-2014. Yulia Ivanova, the Director of the College of LTSNU told why the Revolution of Dignity is important for each of us.
The audience honored with a minute of silence the heroes of the Heavenly Hundreds and the ATO participants who gave their lives for changing the course of the history of our state and giving the Ukrainian nation a chance for a worthy future.
At the end of the solemn event, students and teachers had the opportunity to see the exhibition.
