30 Scientific Works for 3.5 Years

LNU student Olena Manko has about 30 researches – scientific works on the Ukrainian language and literature, pedagogy and English.

Such efforts were highly appreciated at the university – Olena became the best student of LNU. She was awarded at the ceremonial Academic Council. The student does such colossal work not for the awards. The girl enjoys studying literary characters. “I do like researching. I take a coffee, surround myself with a lot of books and feel like I am in a different reality. I don’t need anything else, – she tells lyrically. – I really like finding something new, reopening characters, imagining them in different light. It’s not the same as just downloading another person’s work from the Internet and doing it over again. These are entirely different feelings.”

Additional to the scientific works Olena writes stories, fairy tales and poems. The girl confessed that she had submitted one of her fairy tales to the literary contest “Korneychukovsky Award” and now she is waiting for the results.

At the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications where Manko studies they told that she had got used to being the best girl since school time. She finished Svatovo Secondary Educational School No. 2 with honors and now she is completing the fourth year of LNU and is going to obtain diploma with honors. Last year Olena became the best student of the faculty. According to her, the university recognition was quite expected but very wished for.

The girl says that she isn’t going to stop. She will keep supplementing her list of scientific and literary works.
