International Students’ Day

The International Students’ Day was solemnly celebrated at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. 

Student’s time is one of the most romantic and incendiary in a person’s life. The unique bright emotions that accompany young people during their studies at educational institutions become hot and pleasant memories that inspire in the coming years.

Students of our university prepared for the holiday diligently and persistently. According to the chairman of the student self-government of LTSNU Yaroslav Chepel, young people made significant efforts to organize an entertainment program. The students’ ideas were successfully realized with the support of the Center for Culture and Leisure and the Primary Trade Union Organization of the University.

The festive disco, which took place this year within the walls of the Starobilsk nightclub, began with a greeting from the Vice-Rector on the Scientific and Pedagogical Work Oleksandr Babichev. He told about the history of the holiday and wished everyone present unforgettable impressions from the years of study.

Diplomas from the student self-government and prizes from the Primary Trade Union Organization were awarded to active and enterprising students who make efforts for the development of their native Alma Mater.

The Director of the Educational and Research Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences Anton Bader addressed the audience and once again stressed the important role of students not only in the development of higher education institutions, but also in the socio-political life of the country.

After the solemn speeches, an entertainment program began, in which all attendees took part. Students of each structural subdivision of the University prepared interesting contests, the winners of which were awarded with prizes and gifts given by the Primary Trade Union Organization of the University.

The choreographic performances of students of the educational and scientific institute of pedagogy and psychology and the collective “Inspiration” were impressive. The song compositions performed by employees and students of the University became an organic addition to the holiday.

Representatives of public associations did not stay aside. So, activists of the initiative group “Inventors” in the framework of the project to repair the city beach, conducted an interesting lottery. Among the prizes were certificates for attending a sports hall, beauty salons and much more.

Real band in the rock style was pleased with the band “End of July”. Connoisseurs of musical art were delighted with the organic combination of singing and skillful play.

The history gives the youth one of the most significant places in the process of creation and development of independent Ukraine. Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is proud of its students who glorify the name of their native Alma Mater, demonstrate high results in scientific and creative activity and preserve the traditions of the Ukrainian people.
