Dedication to students

It became a good tradition in the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports to hold a solemn dedication to students on the eve of the International Student’s Day. 

This time the festival was held in the form of a theatrical performance, where freshmen played the role of defendants, teachers and directorate were a jury trial, and second- and third-year students were defenders.

During the holiday, freshmen demonstrated their creative abilities and desire to get the title of “Students” in every possible way. For this they danced, showed humorous performances, sketches about how a typical student looks and even the practical part of the swimming lesson. Senior students, in turn, were witnesses on the part of the first-year students and gave instructions to teachers how to “properly” behave with students, gave all present amateur performances.

The teachers did not stay aside; they were invited to the stage to participate in the performance “gymnastics lesson,” where they received a task-to build a pyramid. It should be noted that the teachers coped with this task and received an “excellent” grade.

Having listened to all the parties, the teachers and the directorate decided: “To recognize the freshmen as students and to sentence them to 4 years of correctional labor in the form of scientific, informative, socially useful and sporting activities within the walls of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports. The decision is final and cannot be appealed. “

After the announcement of the “verdict” and the official recognition of the freshmen as students, the Director of the Institute solemnly handed them student tickets and memorable calendars. Also, Yuri Mykhailovych congratulated all those present on the 70th anniversary, which this year marks our Institute and wished freshmen to bear the title of students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, to support and multiply the scientific and sport achievements of their predecessors.

The honorary guests who were present at the celebration also joined the congratulations, namely: the Chairman of the Kreminna District Council V.M. Prokopenko, the Mayor of the city of Kreminna Yu.A. Prokopenko, the Director of the Lugansk regional sports center “Olimp” Yu.V. Ishchenko, Director of the Kreminna School No. 4 L.N. Novitsky, Director of the College of the Luhansk State Academy of Culture and Arts L.P. Sabo, Director of the Luhansk Regional Lyceum-Boarding School for Physical Culture and Sports A.V. Grebenyuk, Head of the Family, Youth and Sports Sector A.V. Kuzmenko and others.

Besides congratulations, there were also awards. Thus, the decision of the Directorate, for the active participation in the public and sports life of the Institute, diplomas and memorable gifts were awarded to students: Lina Bugaeva and Vitalii Sergeev; and the group of the third year majoring in “Physical Education” won in the nomination “Best Academic Group-2017”.

Also on behalf of the Youth and Sports Administration of the Luhansk Regional State Administration, students were awarded for their active participation in the creation of the sport image of the Luhansk region and on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Institute. They were Olena Zinova, Serhii Sinyanskiy, Valeria Ryzhkova, Eugen Babich.

Summing up, we can confidently say that students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports are not only athletic, but also smart, cheerful, capable and talented!
