Day of radio, television and communications workers

Today Ukraine celebrates the Day of radio, television and communications workers.

In the era of global information exchanges, accelerated social, economic, and cultural processes, the work of specialists in radio, television, and Internet publications is crucial for deepening value-semantic communications between citizens and ensuring current world trends. Today, radio and television are not only a component of everyday life, but also a powerful tool for the development of society, its integration into the European community.

In the field of information and communication of our state there are more than 15 000 post offices, a large number of different Internet providers, design and scientific institutions, as well as specialized universities that train specialists in the field of communications. This is evidence of the relevance and public significance of the work of media broadcasters.

We congratulate the young team of the on-line radio “University Wave” – the newly created radio station of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University on the holiday. Thanks to the efforts of the Vice-Rector for Scientific And Pedagogical Work Oleksandr Meniailenko and employees of the Center for Information Technologies “University Wave” continues to develop and allows not only to have a good time, but also is a powerful platform for practical training of students majoring in “Journalism”.

During the existence of the radio of LTSNU, many new programs were opened, the workers received new equipment, and the honorary guests already visited the studio, among them the scriptwriter of the Studio Kvartal 95 Oleksandr Bragin, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, the chairman of the Supervisory Council of our University Vitalii Kurylo and the project manager of the Czech Development Agency Jan Peyril.

We wish all media broadcasters of Ukraine inexhaustible and creative energy, achievements in the development of  democratic, independent and successful Ukraine. Congratulations!
