Meeting of the University Administration

A regular meeting of the Administration took place at the University.

The implementation of the decisions of the University Administration and the prospects for development of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Servicing Technologies and Tourism was considered on the agenda. A report was made by Viktor Drel.

Having heard and discussed the report of the Director of the Educational and Research Institute, the Rector noted that the directorate of the structural subdivision had taken measures to implement the decision of the administration on November 14, 2016. In order to form a contingent of students in the institute, career guidance was conducted with the involvement of teachers from all departments and staff of the directorate. The timetable for career guidance activities of the institute was developed to achieve an effective result.

The particular attention was paid to working with graduates of the colleges of Luhansk and Donetsk regions. The targeted career-oriented work in this direction allowed increasing the number of entrants on the basis of the level of a junior specialist.

In order to improve the quality of practical training of students in the Institute, foreign practices were restored. In 2017, new agreements were concluded with foreign partners, including Georgia, Turkey and Thailand. As a result, 35 students of the Institute passed the practice abroad.

During the period from 2016 to 2017 according to the schedule of training sessions, it was envisaged to use active methods of interaction between teachers and students, including on-line lectures. The visiting sessions were held in the cities of Kreminna, Rubizhne, and session for students of full-time and correspondence forms of education were organized in the city of Starobilsk.

All departments of the Institute in the last academic year have intensified research work with students. Compared with previous years, the number of scientific papers at the university level has increased.

At the end of the meeting, the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism Viktor Drel awarded gratitude to university scientists from a travel company, where students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University were practicing.
