Meeting with the Honorary Professor

A meeting with the Honorary Professor of the University and the former dean of the Faculty was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports.  

Within the preparation for the celebration of the 70th anniversary, the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports hosted a meeting of students and teachers with the Honorary Professor of the University and former dean of the Faculty of Physical Education Anatolii P. Poltavsky.

He emphasized the listeners’ attention to the history of the faculty and the institute development at different stages from the very beginning.

He cited examples that 35 Olympic medals and more than 100 medals from the World and Europe championships were won by the students.

But the main task of the Institute is the training of physical education teachers, sports specialists, physical rehabilitation specialists and teachers of human health.

Since the evacuation of the Institute in the city of Kreminna, the main task remains to reach the level of development of pre-war time. Every year the number of students increases, and sports achievements are improving.

During the Summer Universiade in Taipei – 2017 students won five medals including two gold, two silver and one bronze.

The participants thanked Anatolii Pylypovych for the informative information and wished him creative success and inspiration.
