“Cossack Games”

The traditional competitions “Cossack Games” took place in the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports.

They were held as part of the preparation for the Anniversary Day – the 70th anniversary of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports and the implementation of the program of national and patriotic education of students.

The program of the competition included eight types of exercises: bench press, pulling on the crossbar, free throws (basketball), long jump from the place, throwing the tennis ball into the goal, jumping rope, pushing out an opponent, relay race and team competitions.

• The second-year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Physical Culture” Oleg Pavlov won in the first form of the program (bench press for 30 seconds) with the result of 30 times.
• In the pulling on the crossbar, the first-year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Physical Culture” Artem Knyagnitsky won with the result of 30 times.
• In free throws (basketball) two students showed the same result; the second-year student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports” Vitalii Kondratenko and the first-year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Physical Culture” Nikita Kalita.
• The second-year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Physical Culture” Serhii Lymar won in the throwing of a tennis ball into the goal.
• In jumping rope (30 seconds), the second-year student majoring in “Secondary education won. Physical Culture”, Andrii Ukraintsev showed the result – 94 times.
• In team competitions – jumps in length, the first-year team of the specialty “Secondary Education. Physical Culture” won. In the team relay, the team of the first course also showed the best result.

As a result of the competitions in the team result with the sum of points in individual types and team competitions, the team of the I course of the specialty “Secondary education.  Physical Culture” became the winner, curator of the group – senior lecturer of the Department of Sports Disciplines Tetyana L. Polulyashenko.

The second place was won by the second-year team of the specialty “Secondary education. Physical Culture”, the curator of the group – the senior teacher of the Department of Theory and Methodic of Physical Education Oleksandr Ochkalov.

The third place was taken by the first-year team of the specialty “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports”, curator of the group – teacher of the Department of the OPS Oleksandr Gadyuchko.

The fourth place was given to the third-year team of the specialty “Physical Education”, and the team of the specialty “Physical Rehabilitation” completed the standings.

As a result of the competition, the Director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Yury Polulyashchenko awarded the winners in separate kinds with diplomas, and winners received sweet prizes.
