Great football in the city of Starobilsk

The Ukrainian national football team among veterans held a match against the united team of the Ukrainian armed forces and students of our University.

Professional football players are not accustomed to travel around the country. Recently, the Ukrainian national football team among veterans came to the city of Starobilsk. The legends of Ukrainian sports, including Yuri Maksymov, Serhii Nagornyak, Eduard Tsikhmeystruk, Oleksandr Venglinsky and Ivan Yaremchuk played against football players of our University: Artem Skachkov, Ivan Nalyvaiko, Maksym Popov, Vladislav Barabash and Yegor Kornienko. Playing against professionals, our boys got a lot of experience. The professional players showed a good game.

Despite their age, they skillfully owned the ball and hit the audience with an accurate transfer to the partner and the final blow. The match took place in the sports hall of the local Sports School, and ended with a score of 7:5 in favor of the guests.

Head coach of the national team, the legendary player of Dynamo Kyiv Anatolii Demyanenko noted the game of the hosts and wished our youth to stay in football and improve their skills. At the end of the fight, the hosts were given balls with their autographs. This duel will remain in the memory of the participants and fans for a long time.

The main goal of these matches, in addition to popularizing football, is to support peace and unity in Ukraine. This is a gratitude to the military, who now defend the independence and territorial integrity of the country in the Donbas. That is why a significant part of the games of the legends of Ukrainian football is held in the east of the country.
