Teachers from Japan, Turkey, the USA and China support Ukrainian students. The foreigners still participate in LNU life.
Foreign colleagues keep in touch with Ukrainian scientists and students, help obtaining foreign grants and writing creativity works. The foreign teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University had to leave dangerous Luhansk in the end of previous spring. But according to them they are looking forward to its liberation to come back. “I have recently talked to one of our Japanese teacher Takashy Itozava. He was living in Luhansk for more than 10 years and our city is in his heart forever. Here he has met his love and his children have been born. He educated a lot of students! That’s why he is definitely waiting for his return to Ukraine, to Luhansk and to our university” – the Head of the Department of the Eastern Languages of LNU Nataliia Fedycheva told about her correspondence with the foreign colleague.
According to the students the English teacher from the USA Oleksandr Lennarts assists and supports them as well. He tells about new educational programs, helps to obtain grants for studying language abroad. And one of the most important things according to Nataliia Volodymyrivna the students communicate with the native speakers. This is very good practice, – thinks Fedycheva.
A marriage couple from Turkey also remembers the Ukrainian students. Bakhar Tetik and Ugiur Tetik had been teaching the Turkish at LNU for more than 4 years. They support those who are in the forced evacuation and hope to come back to the Ukrainian Luhansk together. A marriage couple is going to continue teaching and to enter the postgraduate course at LNU, – noted Natalia Fedycheva.
Besides, student exchange programs with the world universities keep working, there are internships abroad and all contracts on the international cooperation are valid.
