Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University restores the tradition of blood donation.

Donor blood surrender is especially relevant in our time, as the need for medical devices is caused, in particular, by military events. Thanks to donation, the hematopoiesis activates, the metabolism improves and the body’s resistance in extreme situations increases.

The student youth of our University has never been indifferent to the social problems of society, as evidenced by the volunteer circles, which constantly operate at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. Today, active and initiative students, having learned about the plight of the family of one of the graduates, went to the district hospital to voluntarily provide blood for transfusion to patients who need it.

“It was an initiative of the youth,” – Yaroslav Chepel, chairman of the student self-government of our University said. – “Such an action was held last year, and today we continue this tradition.”

More than 15 students took part in the event. For everyone, this event has become a particularly moment, an opportunity to realize the value of life and responsibility for one’s own health.
