Gift from a graduate

A graduate of LTSNU gave his Alma Mater a bust of Taras Shevchenko.

Roman Savchenko graduated from the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts in 2016. Having received the specialty “Fine Arts, Decorative Art, Restoration”, he began to engage in creativity. In an uneasy time for our evacuated University, Roman decided to support his native Alma Mater on the Day of the Defender of Ukraine and to make personally and give the bust of Taras Shevchenko. He spent about two months and 15 kg of clay and gypsum on making a bust. The result was unrivaled. The sculpture of Shevchenko (50 cm) came out so successful and organic, that the team decided to put it in the lobby of the first academic building.

Teachers, students and staff of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University express their deep gratitude to Roman Savchenko and wish the young and promising sculptor success, self-realization and recognition of creativity.
