Dear servicemen, defenders of our state, teachers, staff and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University!

Day of the Defender of Ukraine is one of the biggest holidays in our country, which is especially relevant now. Recent events have proved that we must take care of our army so as not to provide someone else’s.

It is not in vain, that we celebrate a big state holiday simultaneously with the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the Holiday of the Cover of the Holy Virgin, which is the embodiment of the unity of generations and centuries-old traditions of the state. The people and the army are united, and these are not just words, they are the realities of our time.

Today the Armed Forces of Ukraine are the real pride of our nation. Thanks to the state support, assistance from international partners and the activities of volunteers, we have become a European country that is respected in the world community.

I wish our soldiers who make incredible efforts to preserve the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine, health, peaceful skies and brilliant victories! Let your most cherished dreams come true, and faith will be unbreakable!
