Descendants of the glorious Cossacks

An open curatorial hour “We are the descendants of the glorious Cossacks” took place at the College of LTSNU.

The centuries-old history of the Ukrainian state cannot be imagined without the traditions of the Cossacks, which today became the main theme of an educational event organized by the teacher of the Ukrainian language Natalia Klimenko and students of the College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. According to Natalia Valentinivna, the main purposes of the curatorial hour were familiarizing the youth with the symbolism of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the formation of respect for the historical past and the culture of our state. So, students prepared greeting cards for servicemen, as well as video greetings on the occasion of the Day of Defender of Ukraine.

At the beginning of the event, the Acting Director of the College Y.N. Ivanova congratulated all those present and focused on the important role of servicemen in ensuring the integrity of the country. She wished the youth peace and health.

Then Natalia Klimenko presented Cossack symbols, among which were mace and timpani. Particular attention was paid to the copy of the icon, typical for the Cossacks era. An ancient design and an image of the corresponding symbols became a real decoration of the event.

No less interesting and impressive was the theatrical performance performed by college students. The youth brightly and colorfully reflected the selection procedure in the ranks of the Ukrainian Cossacks, which was typical for the Zaporizhzhya Sich. The culmination of the holiday was the performance of the anthem of Ukraine.

At the end of the event, the presenters conducted a quiz, after which all present honored those who died for Ukrainian independence with a minute of silence.
