A lesson of courage
11.10.2017
A lesson of courage was held in the College of LTSNU and the Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College.
A meeting with representatives of the civil-military cooperation group was held. In modern realities, an important component of the teaching and upbringing process is cooperation with military personnel who are the defenders of the independence and sovereignty of our state. That is why the officers of the civil-military cooperation group have traditionally held joint events with the students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
At the beginning of today’s meeting, the military men told the students of the Colleges about the history of the creation, functions and main directions of the civil-military cooperation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The continuation of the report was a review of the events of 2014 and the causes of aggression in the east of our country. The servicemen focused on the need to consolidate Ukrainian society, as a prerequisite for a strong and developed country.
The next stage of the meeting was the presentation of the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during which the present looked at photos of military equipment in the Ukrainian army. But the most important was a story about mine safety, during which students learned about the rules for handling explosive objects and watched the training video.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the civil-military cooperation group demonstrated small arms and bulletproof vests to the students of the Colleges. Everyone present had the opportunity to personally disassemble a rifle or a pistol, as well as try on protective equipment.
