Futsal competitions

The futsal competitions took place at the University.

Eleven men’s teams of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University started the fight for the Cup of Administration. At the first stage, the teams, which were divided into three groups, played games among themselves. The best two teams got to play to the second stage.

The group “A” included the team of ERIPES, ERICSTT-1 and CLNU-2. The favorite of the group was the team of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, which easily beat its rivals and from the first place came out to play in the second stage. The newcomers of the championship ERICSTT-1 (the composition included only freshmen) could not withstand the pressure of college students and lost with a score of 4:0.

In the “B” group, two teams of the Educational and Research Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences played. The first team consisted of the experienced futsal players – senior students and representatives from the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Dmytro Karpenko and Oleksii Podybailo. Having such a composition, the team became the leader of the group. The second team of the Institute consisted of young first-year students. This group also included the teams of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology and the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications.

As expected, the first team of “historians” outplayed their opponents without special strains, scoring 32 goals and conceding only 1. The representatives of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology finished second, but unfortunately, they refused to play in the second stage. Their place was taken by the team ERICSTT-2, which became the third in the group “B”. The team CLNU-1 and FNS came out from the first and second of this group.

In the second stage, six teams were divided into two groups, where teams also played in a circular pattern. The group “A” included IPES, ICSTT-2, and FNS; the group “B” included the teams CLNU-1, ERIHIRSPS-1 and CLNU-2.

In the “A” group, the students of the IPES won two victories and reached the final four in a good mood. And for the second place, a sharp struggle has developed between the youth of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technology and Tourism and the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The match ended with a draw 5:5. Thanking to the best goal difference the team of FNS went to the final.

In the second group, the match CLNU-1 against ERIHIRSPS-1 was intriguing. Having received an advantage in three goals, the representatives of College lowered the “turnovers” in the game and conceded two goals into their own gates. The match ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of CLNU-1. Then both teams outplayed the team CLNU-2 and reached the final four.

The teams of the final four demonstrated interesting and intriguing football. The favorites for the victory were CLNU-1 and IPES. But each team had to play a three-match round-robin system in order to win. Each match required full return. Therefore, these games help to form the character and improve the sportsmanship. The opponent forces to act quickly, swiftly, moving from defense to attack.

The football players of the team CLNU-1 coped with this task best of all, having beaten FNS with a score of 6:3 in the first game. Then they defeated the “historians” with a score of 7:2. And they went to the final match against the IPES with the maximum score.

The students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports also defeated the teams of FNS with a score of 9:0, and the ERIHIRSPS – 4:3.

The game of the teams of CLNU and IPES had a principled nature. The main question was: will the junior college team be able to outplay the experienced senior students of IPES? Last year the team of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physical Education and Sports was stronger.

After playing the ball, Dmytro Zinchenko (IPES) strongly struck at the gates of Maksym Popov, and the goalkeeper left to get the ball out of the gates. No one expected such a rapid beginning. The advantage was short, already in the third minute Ivan Nalyvayko plays out the missed ball. The college players screw up the pace of the game, and more experienced players did not keep up with them. The players of IPES could not change the tactical picture of the game and to play from defense. So, the goals were poured into their gates, as from a cornucopia, for all tastes.

First, after rehabilitating himself for the missed goal, Maksym Popov scored the goal. The first half was 5:1 in favor of CLNU. In the second half, the initiative again was on the side of the College, and three more goals flew into the gate of Serhii Khurda. Also Ivan Nalyvayko and Vladislav Barabash showed good game. The final whistle fixed a notable defeat of the IPES with a score of 8:1.

The third place was played by ERIHIRSPS and FNS. The appearance of Kyrylo Sisoenko in the final match had a positive effect on the result of the start of the game, in which he opened the account in the first minute. But the team did not have enough strength to support his active game. After losing the first half with a score of 4:3, FNS fell in the second, conceding six goals, four of which on account of the best scorer of the championship Oleksii Kobets. The score of the match was 10:3 in favor of ERIHIRSPS.

The best player of the championship is Yegor Kornienko from CLNU-1. At the end of the championship, the Vice-Rector of the University Oleksandr Babichev awarded the teams with diplomas, and the winners with a memorable Cup of the Administration. Nominees of the championship Oleksii Kobets and Yegor Kornienko received medals and certificates of the Administration.

Unfortunately, the teams of the RCVE and the SHPC did not participate in this championship.
