The scheduled meeting of the University Administration took place at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
The issue of the state and prospects for the development of the Educational and Research Institute of Public Management, Administration and Post-Graduate Education was considered on the agenda. The report was made by V.V. Zablotskyi.
Having heard and discussed the report of the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Public Management, Administration and Post-Graduate Education, the University Administration noted that the total contingent of the students of the subdivision is 184 persons; 146 of them are studying for Master’s degrees.
A separate area of the Institute’s activity is the organization of refresher courses for teachers, civil servants and local government officials. This year, the university structural subdivision organized an appraisal of the relatively free proficiency in the state language for applicants for the post of civil servant. In May-June, 460 people received certificates, of which 159 studied on the paid basis.
Also, the postgraduate study “Public Management and Administration” was restored, which did not work for more than three years. Two postgraduates were enrolled; training and methodological support was developed in accordance with licensing requirements.
During the academic year teachers of the Department of Public Service and Management of Educational and Social Institutions published one monograph, three textbooks, a large number of articles in professional and non-professional publications, six conference abstracts and some methodological recommendations.
During the academic year 2016-2017, three sessions were held in the cities of Starobilsk and Severodonetsk with high attendance. The material on the website of the distance learning moodle is fully described.
At the same time, the University Administration noted unresolved problems in the work of the Educational and Research Institute of Public Management, Administration and Post-Graduate Education, among which the discrepancy between the system of teachers’ professional development and the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Education”.
