Victory in the International Athletics Competitions U-18

A student of the Faculty of Natural Sciences took part in the International Athletics Competitions U-18, where she won.

September 30 in Lutsk was the International Athletics Competitions U-18. Here athletes from the cities of Lutsk, Brest, Bakhmut (Donetsk region), Lviv, Rivne and Khmelnitsky competed. There were seven teams on the tracks and sectors of the local stadium “Avangard”.

These competitions were quite compact and fast, because only the final starts took place, following which the winner’s team was determined. The program of the meeting included the finals of 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500 meters, javelin throw and long jumps, as well as the final “Scandinavian” relay race 100 + 200 + 300 + 400 meters.

The first-year student majoring in “Ecology” of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” Kateryna Koval started at these competitions where she won the 800 m race. Also in the women’s relay race 100m + 200m + 300m + 400m, she ran  four stages (400m).

The Faculty of Natural Sciences congratulates Kateryna on the victory and wishes further victories in sports and studies.
