Access to the SCOPUS resource

The University received access to the SCOPUS resource.

The University received access to the SCOPUS resource, the largest international reference and science-based database, peer-reviewed literature of scientific journals, books and conference materials.

SCOPUS indexes more than 21,500 peer-reviewed scientific journals (about 60 million records) from various fields of knowledge – natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, technology, health and medicine, social and human sciences, and 130,000 books. The database is updated daily; it has the function of tracking scientific citation of publications.

The decision to index new publications by the Scopus resource is made upon consideration of requests for the inclusion of new titles of publications by the Content Selection and Advisory Board (CSAB), which includes various specialists representing various branches of knowledge and regions of the world. Access of higher educational institutions and establishments to electronic scientific databases in our state is provided on the basis of applications that are considered by the Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

This year scientific basis of Scopus included 68 and the Web of Science – 64 higher educational institutions and scientific institutions that belong to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Education and Science, including our University. It is a good opportunity to receive relevant and high-quality scientific information and is a symbol of international recognition of the educational achievements of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
