The master student of LTSNU took part in the Ukrainian Classic Powerlifting Championship as a coach.
The first-year master student majoring in “Secondary education. Physical Culture” of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, Master of Sports of Ukraine in Powerlifting Oleksandr Plis successfully debuted at the Ukrainian Classical Powerlifting Championship as a coach.
The Championship was held in the city of Lutsk (Volyn region) and gathered almost 400 participants from all regions of Ukraine. Oleksander’s ward and simultaneously his wife Kateryna Plis-Dryumova performed in the weight category up to 63 kg and fulfilled the standard of the “Master of Sports of Ukraine” for the first time. In addition, the athlete updated Ukraine’s record in squatting with the bar twice. Now it is 155 kg. The sum of triathlon – 365 kg (155 + 60 + 150) allowed Kateryna to become the silver prizewinner of the championship.
This was the first start of the sportswoman after the birth of the child. Congratulations to Kateryna and her coach on success!
Kateryna Dryumova is a graduate of the Master’s Degree of the IPES in 2014, specializing in Physical Education, a master of sports of Ukraine of international class in weightlifting, a European champion among juniors, a prizewinner of junior and youth championships. Now she tried her hand in powerlifting too.
MSU Oleksandr Plis is the first-year master student of the IPES majoring in “Secondary Education. Physical Culture”, the owner of the Cup of Ukraine in powerlifting in 2015, the champion of Ukraine in 2016. He achieved successes by training under the guidance of IPES trainers, Honored Coach of Ukraine for Powerlifting Serhii Galiya and Merited Master of Sports of Ukraine Dmytro Semenenko.
