The Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-political Sciences held a public lecture on Frontier Theory.
An important component of the modern educational process is the widespread introduction of the latest scientific achievements in the teaching process. No less urgent is the development of new forms of educational interaction between teachers and students.
For the sake of realizing these tasks, the traditional public lectures of the Doctor of Historical Sciences, Acting Head of the Department of History of Ukraine A. V. Naboka are held for the third consecutive year at the Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences. The lectures are dedicated to highlighting various acute issues of historical science.
The next event took place on September 28, 2017. This time the teacher focused on the presentation of the “Frontier Theory”. Frontier is a specific historical territory where active interaction of various civilizations took place. This problem becomes more and more popular in Ukrainian and world historiography. In particular, the scientific works of the western scholar Garuki Kuromy were considered, who believes that the modern Donbas is developing according to the canons inherent in the frontier territory. As an expert was invited the Lviv historian, Doctor of Historical Sciences (2016), Head of the Center for Regional History of Galicia Institute of Ukrainian Studies named after I. Kripyakevich of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the author of the books “Comparative Frontiers” and “Essays on the History of Galicia” Igor Chornovol, who talked to the audience on “Skype”.
