Student youth of our University united today for the common goal – active and interesting recreation, which is the key to health and spiritual energy. Having carefully prepared the day before, the students and teachers went to the birch grove near the picturesque Aidar River.
The event began with the preparation of traditional dishes, such as: field porridge and Cossack kulesh, as well as delicacies, which the student brotherhood prepared in advance.
The Rector of LTSNU Serhii Savchenko came to congratulate students and teachers. Savchenko and the Vice-Rector for Scientific-Pedagogical Work Oleksandr Babichev, who shared their impressions of the event and tasted delicious food.
A weighty part of the holiday was a sports program with a variety of competitions, which were organized by the teachers of the Department of Physical Education N.A. Haiduk and P.V. Yaroshenko. Students competed in relay race, tug-of-war, water transfer in special dishes, etc. All participants of the competition showed initiative and activity, demonstrated sports skills, agility, solidarity. According to Petro Yaroshenko, the main victory in the competitions was a real friendship and unity of students. At the end of the event, a football match was held between the joint teams of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications and the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism.
Today each student had a good opportunity to meet new friends, support the corporate spirit and feel part of a large team of one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the Eastern Ukrainian region.
