“Parade “Poltava Embroidered”

Students and teachers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages took part in the art project.

The Day of the city as an important holiday for all residents and guests of Poltava was celebrated on September 23, and was continued the next day, September 24. This year, the team of students and teachers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of LTSNU decided to take part in the traditional art project “Parade “Poltava Embroidered.” The educational institutions, enterprises, residents and guests of the city had the opportunity to join the solemn procession. On the occasion of the holiday, the streets of the city were filled with people in bright and beautiful embroideries. The high spirits of that day brightened up the weather – it rained on Saturday evening, and the weather was cold in the morning. But already during the procession the sun came out.

The parade began at 12 o’clock on the White Altanka and passed along the Sobornist Street, Constitution Street, Pervomaisky Avenue, and ended in the park of culture “Victory”, where after the parade everyone had the opportunity to enjoy dishes of Poltava cuisine, pass a master class on embroidery and various kinds of decorative and applied art.

It should be noted the participation of our foreign students in the event, who happily walked side by side with Ukrainian students in the parade.

During the procession, representatives of educational institutions shouted the names of their alma mater, and students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages also supported this. In the transparent September air, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University proudly sounded!
