LNU Student Participates in the European Championship

A sportsman of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is participating in the European Championship.

The indoor Athletics European Championship has started today on March 5. The sportsmen from all over Ukraine came to fight for the victory and among them there is a magistrand of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of LNU Serhii Kopanaiko.

“Serhii won a slot on the national team like on the last breath having won at the Ukrainian Winter Cup 2015. It was the final selection for the European competitions, – they told at LNU. Besides, the news that Serhii will come to the European Championship was announced only in the end of February at the meeting of the Executive Committee of Ukrainian Athletic Federation. And in the beginning of the month he came to the championship”.

It should be noted that the best athletes from different countries of the world will fight for the title for several days. The final competition day is March 8. Also they told at the university that Ukrainian national team consists of 25 persons – 11 men and 14 women.
